Thanks very much for your reply Professor Cottrell. Here is what I get:
talhayalta@talhayalta-h8-1100tr ~/cvs/gretl $ ls -al /opt/gretl/bin
toplam 76
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Tem 24 14:04 .
drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 Tem 23 21:10 ..
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 69028 Tem 24 14:04 gretlcli
talhayalta@talhayalta-h8-1100tr ~/cvs/gretl $ which gretl
talhayalta@talhayalta-h8-1100tr ~/cvs/gretl $ ldd /opt/gretl/bin/gretl_x11
ldd: /opt/gretl/bin/gretl_x11: Böyle bir dosya ya da dizin yok (which
means no such directory)
So maybe my gretl was not compiled or installed right. Here is what I
get after running the configure command:
talhayalta@talhayalta-h8-1100tr ~/cvs/gretl $ ./configure
--prefix=/opt/gretl --without-gnome

Yes, it's strange. What do these commands show?
ls -al /opt/gretl/bin
which gretl
ldd /opt/gretl/bin/gretl_x11
