By "clear and reliable transition path" I take it you mean "we don't
lose
stuff", including the history of commits. While from the user's point of view
the latest version is all that matters, I believe it is EXTREMELY important
to be able to track all the changes in the source for a number of reasons. If
we don't lose that, I'm ready to move to svn any time, if necessary.
Totally. I don't grub through the CVS history very often, but
when I need to do that there's no substitute!
