Hi, I'm seeing the following reproducible crash on Windows 10 on a snapshot from May. (Later I will test on a newer snapshot, but maybe someone can reproduce this.)

So something is not being initialized/reset properly when the empty call exits. Should be a fairly straightforward fix, I think.
