There's an updated version of the preliminary documentation for gretl's
MPI support at

The changes are not many or large:
* $havempi replaced by $sysinfo.mpi
* new option --local for mpi blocks
* path to mpiexec now configurable via GUI
* MPICC envvironment variable can be used when configuring
an MPI-enabled build of gretl

New subject: periodogram header error
I am now working with periodograms of seasonal series and I am seeing
this problem: When I ask for the periodogram of an original series (not
residual of any estimation) the title of the plot and the text output is
"residual spectrum" which does not seem very apropriate.
And by the way, when you ask for the vertical grid lines (in the graphic
controller) I think it would be very good that the lines, and the tick
labels, correspond to the seasonal frequencies (at least for quarterly
and monthly data).

In what context or by what means are you getting that? I've just tried a
few examples, using the Variable menu in the GUI, using the "pergm"
command in the GUI console, and via script, in both English and Spanish.
I'm seeing the table labeled as "Periodogram for <varname>" while the
plot
is labeled "Spectrum of <varname>".

After several tests, I see that it only happens when I select x axis in
radians.

Thanks, Ignacio. That should be easy to fix now. It sounds as if the
option flag for radians on the x-axis must be colliding with the option
that flags a residual series.
