* If you're happy to have the xdg-utils install the gretl
desktop files, you don't have to do anything.
I am happy with this! It worked fine, now it shows the icon near the
name (it was always missing in this system).
Using Ubuntu 12.10 on my Netbook Acer Aspire One.
