I don't really have a clue what's going on. It seems probable that it
has something to do with the Ubuntu upgrade and new Thunderbird version
(3.1.x from Ubuntu 10.10).
No problems with Apple Mail on Mac OS X 10.6.5
All threads recognised unerringly (up till now).
