And here's another misleading error message, so I'm staying in this thread:

list bogus = LRM LRY
list rhs = IBO(-1) IBO(-2)
list lol = rhs ; rhs

mysys <- system
   equations endo lol
end system
</hansl>

This gives a generic "data error" message, although it is clearly the 
undefined symbol "endo" that is wrong.

(And BTW 'equations' is still not syntax-colored.)
